History

The development trajectory and core capabilities of JiaHua Biotech trace back to earlier industrialization endeavors. As early as 2018, the founding team leveraged the cutting-edge research platform of the Qinhuangdao Bohai Rim Bioindustry Research Institute of Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT). It forged in-depth industry-academia-research collaborations with leading agricultural enterprises, including the Hebei Selenium-enriched Products Committee, China-Arab Chemical Fertilizer Co., Ltd., China State Farm Agri-Tech Group Co., Ltd., Qinhuangdao Jingke Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd., and Qinhuangdao Shibali Food Co., Ltd. These efforts successfully advanced multiple laboratory-developed technologies (e.g., γ-PGA) to the pilot-scale and field application stages.

This years-long close collaboration not only validated the feasibility and market value of technology transformation, but also accumulated comprehensive industrial experience spanning process scale-up, quality control management, and market feedback collection.

Building on this proven track record of collaboration and clear industrialization prospects, all partners decided to formalize this mature industry-research system into corporate operations. Thus, in 2025, core resources were pooled to establish Shenzhen JiaHua Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

The company is a modern biotech enterprise that maximizes the synergistic advantages of “R&D and manufacturing in the north, and product export in the south”, with a focus on global market layout for green biomanufacturing. While the northern base specializes in core technology research, process scale-up and large-scale production, the southern hub is dedicated to branding, marketing, financing and global channel development.

Led by an academician from Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), all core members hold doctoral or postdoctoral research experience in fields such as biochemical engineering, synthetic biology, and agricultural sciences from top universities. They not only excel in basic sciences ranging from molecular mechanisms to metabolic pathways, but also have a deep understanding of engineering scale-up and process pain points in large-scale production, ensuring that R&D is always oriented toward industrialization.
Secondly, the team has established a systematic mechanism for tracking and internalizing cutting-edge trends. By continuously participating in top international academic conferences (such as Metabolic Engineering, ACS Annual Meetings), maintaining cooperation and personnel exchanges with world-renowned research institutions, and systematically monitoring top journals and patent databases, the team can not only capture the latest breakthroughs in fields like synthetic biology, microbiomics, and agricultural biotechnology in real time, but also quickly assess their technological maturity and commercial potential, integrating them into its own technology roadmap.
Thirdly, the team drives product iteration through forward-looking layout. For example, in the field of precision agriculture and plant signal regulation, the team has early engaged in applied research on signal molecules such as trehalose-6-phosphate; in microbial engineering, it is exploring the construction of next-generation high-efficiency chassis cells.
