The Qinhuangdao Bohai Rim Bio-Industry Research Institute of Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) is a comprehensive research institution jointly established by Beijing University of Chemical Technology and the Qinhuangdao Municipal Government. It obtained the status of an independent legal entity (public institution) in June 2016.
The research team at the BUCT Qinhuangdao Research Institute achieved a core breakthrough in the agricultural application of Polyglutamic Acid (PGA). Relying on its pilot-scale platform, the team successfully completed the process scale-up of PGA and established the first batch of field application collaborations with enterprises such as Sino-Arab Chemical Fertilizers and China National Agricultural Means of Production Group (CNAMPG).
The Transformation Center of the National Key Laboratory of Green Biomanufacturing was established, marking a comprehensive platform upgrade. R&D production lines were expanded to include supramolecular composite peptides, Ectoine, and other biological agents.
After years of validation, with a mature model of internal R&D and external cooperation, we officially launched the planning for corporate operation and the assembly of the core team.

Jiahua Bio's R&D achievements are deeply rooted in the robust industry-academia-research soil of the Qinhuangdao Research Institute of Beijing University of Chemical Technology. We have constructed a comprehensive platform of green agricultural biotechnology products and solutions covering Soil Health, Crop Protection, Stress Resistance, and Nutritional Enhancement.
Our breakthroughs are not the result of serendipity but are the product of systematic understanding of microbial fermentation and plant physiology, achieved through orderly extension and deep development.
We have successfully achieved the stable, large-scale production of high-purity, high-molecular-weight agricultural-grade Poly-γ-glutamic acid (γ-PGA), overcoming key technical bottlenecks. Leveraging its core functions in water retention, chelation, and growth promotion, we have developed a series of products for soil improvement, fertilizer synergism, and seed treatment. Field applications have confirmed that our products significantly improve fertilizer utilization efficiency and enhance crop drought resistance.
Based on the same platform, we have successfully developed biocontrol agents centered on Lipopeptides, which combat soil-borne and foliar diseases through multiple mechanisms. Furthermore, we have completed pilot-scale studies on novel bio-stimulants such as Ectoine and Trehalose-6-Phosphate (T6P), establishing a reserve of specialized products targeting abiotic stress.

Accredited for over 400 testing items, our center conducts rigorous testing for food physicochemical properties, microbial indicators, food additives, and pesticide/veterinary drug residues.
